Grilled Cheese

Few foods are as comforting as a perfectly made grilled cheese sandwich. Golden, buttery bread and melted cheese come together to create a simple yet irresistible classic that’s perfect for any meal.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Pieces of Sourdough 
  • 2-3 Tbsp Mayo
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Pieces Swiss Cheese
  • 2 Pieces Colby Jack Cheese
  • 2 Pieces Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 Pieces American Cheese
  • 1/4 Cup Monterey Jack Shredded
  • 2 Tbsp Parmesan Reggiano 
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Nutmeg
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil

Directions:

  • Start by spreading the mayo on both pieces of bread, only on one side
  • Place 1 tbsp of butter in a pan over medium heat and put the bread mayo side down in the pan
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes or until browned then remove
  • Place all the cheese on the bread, finishing with the grated parmesan 
  • Last, sprinkle the garlic powder and pepper over everything, then grate the nutmeg over the top
  • Add the other tbsp of butter to the pan with the olive oil
  • Fold the sandwich together and place back in the pan on low heat 
  • Cover for 3-4 minutes or until browned then flip and finish the final side
  • Remove from heat and cut in half for the best cheese pull, serve and enjoy!
  • Optional: Dip in tomato soup for an upgrade
